Interesting shots! The fishing one just blows my mind, it's so far from my experience here in the Midwest. It looks like he has a safely rope tied around his waist? Yikes! Could you elaborate a little for us landlubbers? And wonderful soulful expression on your pup's face!!

This method of fishing is ancient for the Warm Springs Nation here in Oregon. They build scaffolds along Salmon rivers and use long poles with wide hoop nets attached. They lower these into the water and sit and wait and wait and wait in hopes a fish will enter the net. They have a cord from the net which they hold so they can feel when a fish gets into the net.

Fascinating! I guess it's nature's way of conserving energy; you don't want to burn up more calories catching the fish than eating the fish is going to replenish. Thanks for the info!
