Images of these people remind us that Timothy McVeigh came from that same area of the country and inspire thoughts of armed insurgency or worse. Too bad that neither side will allow for constructive conversation, I support the second and am very defensive of it, but I certainly don't support those who would brandish automatic weapons on the capital steps.

I agree. I'm pro 2nd amendment but, that is uncalled for.

I agree, unnecessary. Even though our Governor is being tyrannical.

I agree. It was a dumb move on their part.

Last week in downtown Raleigh, NC.

Who benefits from this behavior? What is their message? I am happy to see Attic conservatives disavow these wannabe thugs. We share a belief.

While I do not disagree with your assessment of these people carrying the rifles I have to ask how you know they are automatic weapons. I have been into firearms of all types since I was about 10 years old and I can't tell. Can you see the se*****r switches and I am not able to do so?

I know you are not anti gun but one of the problems with most anti gun people is they don't know what they are talking about when it comes to firearms. I am not accusing you of not knowing necessarily but your comment is read by others who will go along with what you say. That lie will be carried on Liberal lips forever.

Why would you call these protestors thugs? They are breaking no laws, threatening nobody. They are most likely citizens or We the People who are demonstrating to the government that the 2nd Amendment is still alive and well when the government tries taking away 1st Amendment rights.

You may not like what they are doing and I don't necessarily like it either. But they are legal and they are not thugs. Thugs are the Liberals who r**t, commit arson, l**t stores etc. all in the name of Peaceful Assembly.

Have a great day,

Dennis

I agree with you Blurry. When I see these pictures of armed protestors brandishing semi-automatic weapons I always wonder if their magazines are loaded.

I'm with Duke... nice to see a few sensible people who believe in the 2nd Amendment condemning this kind of protest. Just because you can is no reason to do. Bringing guns to a peaceful protest is just inviting trouble. When people don't have guns/rifles/wh**ever and a protest gets ugly they start throwing sticks and rocks. It is not much of a stretch of the imagination to picture a shove, then a fist, followed by a rock, and then a bang. This protest was not about the 2nd Amendment, so d**gging that into the situation shows the attitude of these people. They may think they sent a certain message, but I suspect that is not the message most people took home.

Don't you think it is totally stupid to show up at a potential gunfight without ammo?

But it didn't happen did it John? Only in your Liberal mind does that sort of thing happen. And in a peaceful march of Conservatives who do you think would be pushing and shoving, throwing rocks? Yup, Liberals like you.

It is Liberal protests that almost always end up in r**ts, l**ting and burning down the neighborhood. How do you seem to forget Liberal r**ts that result in violence compared to Conservative protests that seldom go there?

Not about a gunfight John. You KNOW that, or should, yet you insist on playing the agitator from a different country where you just lost your rights to firearms use for honest citizens. Once again it sucks to be you and living in a soon to be totalitarian State.

Justify this action, Dennis.

And if you don't like CNN I am sure you can find the story in other media as well. This is an example of stupid people doing stupid things with guns.

I am not calling everyone with a gun stupid; I personally don't need/want firearms, and I have no problem with others owning them. But I believe in some regulations, just as we regulate driving with licensing and rules of the road.

My reference to a gunfight clearly went over your head.

I find it interesting that according to you violence is part of the Liberal psyche but not within the realm of possibility in the Conservative mind. Yet Trump, your leader, said there were good people on both sides. Isn't the corollary that there are bad people on both sides?

Jesus John, there are people all over the world who are more than ready to shoot, stab, set on fire, drown, hang and beat to death other people. Look around and I am quite sure you find the same people in Canada. I can't justify nor explain the k*****g of one person by another. Yet you in your Liberal ignorance are trying to equate a murder of this security guard with a great number of Conservative peaceful demonstrators who happen to be carrying legal firearms. WTF are you thinking? Are you trying to make a point here. It ain't working my friend.

As usual you misrepresent what Trump said about, good people on both sides. Of course there are bad people on both sides too. But my point made with facts is that there are more bad people on the Liberal side than on the Conservative side. Do you recall the 1968 Republican r**ts in Chicago? Nope, neither do I nor does anyone else. They were the Democratic r**ts in Chicago.

Perhaps you could make a similar point by telling us that every one of the demonstrators drove to the protest area in a vehicle and THEN, to really make the point more real, show us a clipping of a drunk driver three states away who k**led a toddler. THAT would be about the exact same type of point as you just tried to portray. Please John get a F'n life. You need one.
