Pileated Woodpecker and the American Kestrel share the same pole

We have some very high electric poles which have been around for years, probably around 60-75'. the Pileated woodpeckers have made a hole and are nesting in the hole, however higher up on the pole are a pair of nesting Kestrels. I was able to capture both. It take the pileated a long time between meals so I watched the kestrels until she came back

Interesting to see Nature making things work, unlike humans, mostly.

These are great and what a wonderful thing to have 2 sets of tenants sharing the pole
