Hi Everybody,
I am new to this Forum so please treat me gently !!!!!
I come from Gods Country (otherwise known as Yorkshire, UK.)
My daughter has given me her Canon 400d camera as she has upgraded to a 40D.
The Lens size on the 400D is 55mm. I already have a small number of 67mm Filters. My question is:- Can I obtain a step up ring which will convert the size from 55mm to 67mm so that I can use my various Filters?
Many thanks.
Best regards.

Yes, and I wish I had known about them before I wasted so much money on filters of different sizes. You can get the rings in sets that cover roughly 49-77mm. Be sure to get a quality set made of something other than aluminum. Brass is good. Cheaper threads can get stuck in the lens or in the step-up rings.

There are inexpensive filter wrenches that might come in handy. There are also various homemade solutions for removing stuck filters. I don't put mine on very tight, but they can still be a challenge to remove sometimes. I'll have to look into getting some kind of lube.

What do you consider to be a little bee? And how do you get his wax without being stung? Sounds dangerous to me.

Brass step rings are lovely but the price will knock your socks off.

Try SRS at Watford, Hertfordshire, they seem to be able to supply most things regarding making filters fit the wrong size lens. Wonder if the filters are necessary though. If you are new to Digital I would think that you haven't discovered the wonders of computer processing which renders a lot of filters a wast of space. Best of luck and welcome to the Hog.

Bees make wax before they can make honey - it is the nature of things !
