Every few years the farmers will plant what I've been told is Red clover...Whatever it is it sure is pretty
Beautiful flowers and captures.

Great sequence. Great images. Thanks for sharing. My understanding is that Red clover can be used as a cover crop that provides many benefits such as fixing nitrogen (N) to meet needs of the following crop, protecting soil from erosion, improving soil tilth, competing with weeds, as well as supplying forage needs.
Pretty photos. We have a different variety of red clover that we grow here in the Midwest.
Actually it is Crimson Clover. You can tell by the shape of the flower head. And I’m not real sure it has been all down. I am seeing a lot of it this year where I know it has not been sown. In fact some right on the shoulder of the road. I think in some years it just comes up wild.

I have never seen Red Clover before and I must say how pretty it truly is.....almost like a field of poppies. We have Purple Clover here and the Deer just love it. I'll have to search for some to plant in my meadow.
I see red clover hereabouts but mostly as volunteer wild growth. This year henbit has gone crazy in the fallow fields. It’s really pretty as a purple carpet in the large open fields but it is real PITA when i5 takes roo5 in your lawn! I imagine the red clover would be the same if it was spreading in your turf.
