Actually, I've been reading UHH for several months and I thank you so much for such wonderful reads! So, about me; a Nikon devotee because growing up that's what my dad and I shot (the film days). I'm totally self taught, a consequence of being an introvert, lol, so probably have lots of holes in my knowledge. I thought I'd post every now and again to get some wonderful CC. Thanks to the covid isolation, I've had time to devote to my favorite hobby again. Oh, just one more thing! Due to the advice of one of you, I purchased Matt Kloskowski's courses on LR and PS. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! My first foray into more advanced post-processing.
OK, so work for you, let me hear your thoughts on these latest shots...don't be shy, I can take it! :)
PS: The foreground grass bugs me too!
Nice sharp work, Kimberly. BTW foreground grass, etc. can help present or frame some shots.
Ah yes! It kind of does in the first shot. Thanks Mike! :)
Nice work Kimberly, cute little bugger isn't it, I guess unless it's eating all your bird food

Kimberly welcome aboard. We share the common goal of Nikon.lol
I think you have a great eye for composition and producing a super sharp images.
Have fun in your foray into more advanced post-processing.It is challenging and rewarding at the same time.
Stan
Kimberly, welcome to UHH. So many helpful folks on UHH. They helped me thru a meltdown earlier today , when I temporarily lost my archive. Ask questions, you will quickly come up to date, to the digital age.A fine series.
Filling the frame too, I like 'em
Welcome, Kimberly. You've started off with some nice shots...that second one gave me a chuckle.
I think they're fine. I like how you, for the most part, filled the frame with the squirrel.
Thank you! So maybe tighter on #2?
Welcome to the forum.
(I like number three the most.)

Yes it is! :)) I've had so much fun watching the birds and squirrels interact. I have several shots where the doves raise their wings up high to look bigger when the squirrel gets too close. If not, the squirrels are quite bossy, lol! Thanks for looking at them :)

Thank you Longshadow! (Are you tall? lol) I struggled with#3 because in order to get the composition I wanted, I had to chop off the back legs. Composition is a bit confusing for me with some images!
