Sure, this seems like a ridiculous idea - until you can't find a restroom while traveling. It would certainly be a shocker for a hitchhiker.

During this pandemic who wants to use a public restroom anyway.
Saw a note the other day in a travel guide saying a solution to the restroom dilemma sometimes encountered while on the road is to take a portable camping toilet along.

Reminds me of the father back in the 50's that had two boys and when he would travel he would put a hose in the hole of the floorboard with a funnel for the boy's to use to pee so he would not have to stop as many times as they traveled.

I remember taking the train in the Fifties. Sign on the restroom said "do not use when train is stopped at the station". It was simply a hole straight down to the track. Ugh, the good old days!

Reminded me of the episode of "Fernwood Tonight" with the battery powered (all D-cells) car that wouldn't go.
Guess enough methane is produced to power the engine. The Bond Aston had a power flusher(!) for the passengers.
Another memory cell fired up. "Do not flush while train is in station."
