Hey everyone!

I just posted a new video for Nikon Z users that talks about the best settings for action work. Hope you find it useful:

Just watched it and got some good tips. I had come to the some same conclusions after extensive testing with my Z50, Z6 and Z7 cameras. I am looking forward to a Z camera that will have the AF of my D5.

Always enjoy your videos, Steve. All your videos are very well made and the way you explain the features and benefits of lens and cameras can't be beaten. It is exceptional that you also mention the negatives as most photogs only give rave reviews. Your honesty is refreshing.

I currently shoot with a D7100 and like you wildlife is what I do. So, I am on the fence between a D500 and the new Z50. Your Z user video convinced me the D500 is the way to go. Maybe in the future generations of the Z, they will match the features of the D500 and have the lens to do the job. That info about how the lens focus slows down on the Z when used with the adapter and DSLR long lens was one point that helped me make up my mind. Thanks for all you do to further wildlife photography.

Thanks for the kind words.

Oh, and D500 without a doubt for wildlife. The Z50 is nice, but it's not up to the D500 - and it's the slowest focusing of the three cameras for adapted lenses. A lot of people wanted it to be a mirrorless D500, but it's just not. However, I think Nikon just may have a mirrorless D500 in the works - at least based on the latest rumors. (I have no "connections" so I just go off of Nikon Rumors.)
