I was checking out the trail down to the far end of my property the day before yesterday and came across a patch of Lady Slippers in bloom. I knew they were there and had seen them many times in years past, however, I had forgotten to check on them this year until I saw them during my walk. There are probably 15 to 20 in the patch with a number of young ones just pushing through the leaves and pine needles. They are very fragile plants and rarely, if ever, survive transplanting. They are one of Gods hidden treasures. These are not the best images since I only had my outdated Samsung Galaxy 6 phone with me and not my Nikon D7200. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Very nice! I envy the number of flowers you have. Not up here as yet and I'm lucky to find one or two behind my house. I agree on their delicate beauty.
Very nice photos. I find that many cell phones today will provide some excellent pictures. Always nice to see these delicate and beautiful flowers growing especially in the wild. Mahalo for sharing.
Nice work---such a beautiful set!
Thanks for all of the positive comments. These were one of my mothers favorite flowers. I think of her often when I see these in bloom.
