I use my digital camera for preview of the subject matter. I will use7 the blak and white lens kit to try and get a idea of how my film may come out in the end. Is there any information of using digital before using the film cameras?? I have been out of photography for over 25yrs. Like many old white trash I had a family and was my wife's caregiver. Also anyone using the Bronica ERTS I? It's the only medium format that I could afford.
Thanks,
BK Bullock

Do you develop and print your film? You can use a digital camera and set it up for B&W. It won't be exactly what you get with the prints but you can at least get rid of the color. I don't think the black and white lens kit would work well.

Why not simply use the digital camera and convert to BW?

If the OP is shooting B&W film and printing it in the darkroom, those prints have a quality that just can't be matched with digital B&W.

All B/W is not the same.

In digital, B/W is produced by taking the R, G, and B luminance values and combining them in some way. You can add them, average them, or do a weighted average. Every method will look different from another.

Similarly, in B/W film, the resulting image will depend on the sensitivity of the film to various colors. There will be at least as many different results as there are different kinds of B/W film, and probably even variations due to development.

Probably means the camera with B&W film in it.

I think its just poor English skills and not racist for whatever reason.
Nothing was better than seeing your b&w print come to live in a tray of developer. Was like magic.
