The Comb Duck is a largish bird and though plain looking has some amazing colors, which are seen when the sun hits it at the right angle. Here the duck approaches me as he lands.

Catching focus on moving objects approaching the camera are normally difficult for the camera to catch focus off, the D500 and 300 f4E PF with TC 1.4 handled the situation admirably.

I think that took a lot practice. Well done. In most it seems he is looking right at you. There were a couple the next to last and I think the 7th where the winds were spread out and the difference in shades were great. Thanks for sharing.
