Just a few photos taken out at Weedon Island a couple of months ago with my little inexpensive Samsung ST76 pocket camera that I got to always have a camera in my pocket when I go any where, actually it doesnt do to badly for being what it is and has lots of cool little trick features to play with, when the weather cools down a bit I 'm going back with my larger Sony to take a few photos and compare.

Thank You Sarge69, yes peaceful but very hot that day and it was a bit of a hike out to the observation tower, but worth it to get a few photos.

Nice. The second picture looks like it taken from the lookout tower - facing southwest - looking at the pier. I have fished that entire area many times.

Yes they all were taken from the observation tower, I believe the second photo was south east, I could be wrong, after the long board walk out there I was tuned around a bit and could'nt tell north from south, what I thought was Tampa I now think was St.Pete. thanks for your comment.

A buddy and I went there about a month ago for their Saturday guided hike not realizing it was an intro into photography class first then the hike. Started raining like a S.O.B. before the class ended, so we missed out on the hike. We plan on going again. Nice photos Dr.Z, hate that I missed out on the scenery and wildlife, but there's always next time. Gotta love those surprise Fl showers, anytime, anyplace!! lol

Hey Thanks for the comment talthaus! yep those surprise showers, you got that right, anytime anyplace! I knew about the photo class hike thing but never went on it myself but was always interested, I'll be going out there again soon when we get those cooler days coming up to get some early am sunrise shots with my other camera.
