Please judge for yourself the value of the feeders. Does the image of the feeder add or detract from the story. Would the tale even be told if it were not for the feeder.

OK, natural is better if possible, IMO. But you shoot whats in front of you. Enjoyable photos UL2
Nice bird pix. One simple remedy to hand of man issues is to strongly fasten some branches to the structures that support your feeders.
Nice set. I prefer images without feeders but it's not always possible.
What a great idea to use a Christmas tree stand. If you don't happen to have a spare one (as I do), I recall my Granddad making wooden Christmas tree stands out of scrap lumber. Might be more attractive in the yard.

A sound idea quixdraw, unless the feeder is part of the story. Recently in order to determine the relative intelligence of my visitors I built a platform peanut feeder with a release mechanism. Who is smarter a squirrel or a Western Scrub Jay. Very enjoyable and often funny events followed until my wife intervened because she felt I was being cruel to the squirrels.
Most of the more terrestrial brides chose to feed out in the open where they can keep an eye out for the ambush predator. Returning to their hide comes with a bit of danger.

Hard to beat that hawk shot. It would appear you are in a more suburban than rural area, so all the more remarkable.

Suburban out the front door quixdraw, but out the back Herons nesting and Red-tails fledgling.

Debatable but I sure do like #2!
I see no problem with the feeders. What’s the difference if a bird is on a feeder or on a twig? A bird shot is a bird shot.
Thanks for the thumbs up Jack
