Cygnus basically exposed the UK's inability to deal with a large scale p******c. It's no different than reports the WHO and our CDC have been issuing for years...to the deaf ears of our elected officials. Politicians don't want to respond to (ie spend money on) any issue beyond the next e******n and especially to what they see as hypothetical threats. It's only slightly satisfying to see other countries' official have their heads stuck in the sand as so many of America's do.

Who knew a v***s would be the thing to bring the world to its knees? I've seen all the James Bonds' and Mission Impossibles and it's always drugs, nuclear weapons, or terrorism that is the threat. Do this mean that I shouldn't be looking to Hollywood to serve me well?
