Tea8 Loc: Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain.

I really need some C&C feedback on this pic, Please. There are parts of me that don't really like it, but there's this part of me that says it's awesome and I need some outside opinions on it.

Building is slightly blown out. Maybe a tad of contrast will help.

I like it, but I am a bit biased as I love the look of lines of buildings against a blue sky with clouds. Might want to experiment by cropping out some of the bottom. I would then keep both. 8-)

I didn't think about the building being blown out. I will have to try your contrast suggestion. Thanks!

I am glad you mentioned the cropping. I actually have a couple where I zoomed in a little bit so it's mainly the building. I was torn between them. I am definitely keeping both sets I have and I may try the cropping too just to see what it could do for the pic. Thanks for the feedback!!

This happens to me all the time in architecture type shots.
Perspective and probably some lens barrel distortion has caused the vertical line of the steeple to tilit inward. You can correct this in post in photoshop by going to the transform skew and straighten. If this isn't what disturbs you it's still a nice photo. Pulling the steeple back would most likely help the buildings leading lines.

That is part of what bothered me. I don't know if it was lens distortion as much as it was me picking the angle I did for it. I have been torn about straightening it too. Part of me hates the slight tilt and part of me likes the little bit of a different angle. I may have to straighten it. This wouldn't be the only one I have had to go back and straighten from this trip. I only took 1000 photos on this vacation. :-D

New Orleans is a great place to photograph. You can walk down the streets of the Quarter every day, and get 1000s of great shots. Try the Cemetaries.

I got a few in the cemetaries too. Not many though. I was with a friend who hates being in the heat and it was like noon when we went. Made for a really quick trip through the cemetary, but definitely an interesting one. Maybe one day I will get the chance to go back and get more pictures. Personally I would have spent a week there if I had the time.
