Abandoned Farm House About To Collapse

Haven't been to this site in many years and was surprised to see the extent of the house decline. Walls and roof are about to give way and one more good winter would finish the collapse. The overgrown thicket is about to take over the old farm yard giving the place an eerie look. In the past, I asked a few locals about the history of this property and no one knew...sad.

When I see places like this, I think that if I were to win the lottery, I would stabilize these old places just to keep them around. I think they're important.

I know the emotion photos like these evoke and feel the same sadness that comes with those emotions...but, life goes on.

Great shots Rick. The lighting is excellent. It is hard to look at these old buildings without feeling some sadness. I like #2 with the mountains in the background.
