I've been watching trains for, as near as I can figure out for about 68 years. I grew up in the UK with steam. My thing is narrow gauge steam, and when we moved to the US I discovered the Cumbres and Toltec. I made train videos for a living for 20+ years, and did a number of photographers charter on the railroad. Riding in an open gondola on a freezing cold pitch black winter morning across the desert, stars blazing overhead, with the firebox light reflecting on the steam from two hard working K-36 2-8-2's is an awesome, unforgettable experience! Chasing a triple-header up the steep grade from Chama to Cumbres summit, loco's working hard is an amazing auditory experience.

WOW!!!! You’ve nailed it. These are all excellent. If I had to pick a couple it would be number one number five and number six. Especially number five! Sheldon Cooper on the Big Bang Theory series would go crazy over these!!!!! Number eight is pretty awesome also!

We stayed in Chama N.M. when we went on that same trip. It was a wonderful town, and is where this train and its museum train yard are. We absolutely loved this train. A truly great experience.
