I confess this has not been a rigorous comparison but it was fun. I did learn from my mistakes and the editors were most helpful in consolidating my postings, many thanks.
This final set of images was all captured with the SONY a7Rii, purchased on Black Friday. Leitz and Zeiss lens are different not, which is better.
Carl Zeiss Biogon ZM 25mm/f 2.8
Leitz Summicron Symmetric IV, 35mm/f 2.0
Carl Zeiss Biogon ZM 25mm/f 2.8
Leitz Summicron Symmetric IV, 35mm/f 2.0
Kern macro Switar, APO, 50mm/f 1.8

From the comments or myself going through the process?

Yourself going through the process.
Learning to store attachment for a detailed inspection by your audience seems to be one big miss from the entire process.

Each lens gives me a different base on which I can post process to my final idea. Of course, each lens has obvious restrictions, such as field of view and magnification factor, but each "draws" differently. I should keep better notes on each image capture.
I remember reading that Ansel Adam had volumes of notes on each negative, including lens characteristics (flare, focal length, filter, etc). He also said that clicking the shutter is only half of the work. I want to print my idea of what I saw and different lens helps - I think.

So what does your gut says which is better? Leitz vs Zeiss in your testing?

The Kern macro Switar. No longer manufactured.

I think the last one is the best or at least it is the most interesting. Hard to compare the others since they were taken at different times with different lighting.

I agree with the Kern macro Switar lens: simply magnificent. I own that lens and unfortunately it only fits my ALPA camera (35mm film).
Not in every shot but the Summicron has not only superior color and contrast but the amazing ability to make you feel like you are in every plane of distance even when the background is out of focus. It took me a long time to understand this but it is uniquely there.

You have to live with it, them, for a while; especially post processing and print with different papers, to see the differences.
