Thank you - this is one of my favorite local views which I've photographed many times. I'm waiting for a clear night to try it against a starry sky.

Lovely pic - I would like to have seen a shot from the road towards the church.

Here's one taken last winter. I really wish someone would cut down that group of trees hiding the church!

You're welcome! Like I said, I've taken many shots of this church in all sorts of moods.

That would be my comment - I like your idea of the road and the church, but that tangle of trees in the foreground is quite distracting. They overwhelm the church and hide your subject a bit more that I would like to see. IMHO, of course...

I totally agree but in this case ya gotta take what ya get! I don't own the property and can't take down those trees, otherwise they would be cut up and stacked in my woodshed.

This is a superb winter shot - so unlike our winters here (Blue Mountains, Australia) - you have captured the subtle mixed tones that are so attractive to someone who does not have to put up with the cold!!

Very much like both images you posted - Andrew.

Believe it or not Sue, I have ridden my motorcycle through beautiful downtown Hammondsville. Did no photography due to group pressure but always thought I would be able to return and do an extended photo shoot. Very sharp photo with many ingredients, you could spend a day composing image after image from that one area. Thank you for stirring up a memory!

Phil
