Gorgeous work. You successfully triggered homesickness for my home state where I lived until mid-40s. What part of the state?

The class was in Williamsport, PA. We took trips out from there to photograph the barns. It is a beautiful area.

Great series. Appears you were around Lancaster....

Williamsport is where the class was and we traveled out from there to different areas, some places were about 30 or 35 miles away.

Thanks for your visit to Pa. I live in upper Bucks Co. When ever I leave the house no matter what direction I choose I never fail to find photo opts. Pa is the keystone state. As any mason will tell you, the keystone is what holds to all together. The 13 met in Philly, the then capital. A lot of history here.

I agree! I have never seen so many beautifully built buildings all in one area. The building we stayed in was the City Hall Grand Hotel, I loved the masonry work.

Went to Pennsylvania for a photography class in October, 2019. We saw a lot of beautiful country while there and were able to go photograph some great old barns in the area. Last but not least, I had to add a team of work horses after all they are an important part of farming in that area. Enjoyed the trip, received some good instructions from the instructor.

Excellent set!

I grew up about 70 miles to the east. Did my internal medicine training about 40 miles away in Danville. And went to Penn State. You never go wrong in that part of PA. Hope you have the chance to return. Once again, great work.

what beautiful country! Nice old wooddy barns, marvelous sky at evening, rich satured colors...
And those horses, they love to pose for You! Great portrait: composition is exactly perfect.
B/W renders optimal here. Good job

Central, North Central, and Northeastern PA are full of treasures. Rt. 45 between Lewisburg (a picturesque town in and of itself, home of Bucknell) and State College (home of Penn State) is about 50 miles of rolling, two-lane highway that passes through two state parks and multiple Amish farms. I've been driving that road for over 50 years. Eager to make my next trip as soon as . . . well, you know. Avoid I-80 that runs more or less parallel to 45 (though it is not visible from 45). Small towns such as Aaronsburg, Mifflinburg, and others have some charming restaurants and old buildings. And farms.

Thank you for the inside tip! I hope some day to go back to the area and photograph more barns.

I grew up in Plymouth, PA just across the river from Wilkes-Barre, went to Penn State, and lived in Danville (fairly close to W'port). I'm still sometimes sorry that I will never live there again.

Terrific compositions, really lovely series. I'm curious if this was your first time east of the Mississippi? You certainly captured the flavor of an area far different from Wyoming!

Thank you! It was my first time East of the Mississippi. I saw a lot of beautiful countryside along the way, hopefully I’ll be able to go back and take more time to see more of the countryside.
