You can get confused when you don't have to go to work, long live the state of confusion!

Confucius also said: "Man who fart in church must sit in own pew."

And that individual's nickname was "Pius".

Hey that's funny but completely true and it's even worse with the stay-at-home lifestyle we now suffer. Being retired already gave my wife and I a taste of this issue we still had day-dependent routines such as babysitting for my granddaughter, Mondays and Wednesdays, and Friday's food shopping that required us to keep track of which day it was. Not now...

The other problem is that when "every day's a Saturday" you have no problem letting the start of a project slide to the next day. Thing is, "there's always tomorrow" can morph into "so why bother, today?" letting a project languish, indefinitely. It actually takes a fair amount of self-discipline and self-motivation to keep productive, in the retired/COVID environment. Or maybe that's just me!

Hey that's funny but completely true and it's even... (show quote)

Also you must plan something for each day, just so that you don't feel you wasted a day.

My father had this in his house - we used to laugh about it but since we have retired, we now understand. As they say, "with age comes wisdom"...

I am an old newspaper reader. I check the publishing date to be sure of the date, including day of week. I doubly check to see that it matches with my computer date info. Otherwise I would have to find a four foot bole to put cuts on to keep track.

The vehicle carrying my age refuses to come to the door. So much for my wisdom.

I used to think that I would not look forward to getting older, gray hair, loss of same, age spots, but after the years passed I could not wait till the day that I would retire. I worked for the New York State of Corrections for 41 years and in the last ten years the changes have not been for the better. I started in 78 when Aids was bad and just got out six months before the Corona virus hit, I can breath easy that I don't have to deal with that at work. Here's to all of you retired on U.H.H, I don't mind being called an old man as I can now enjoy my retirement and SS check with more time to enjoy photography our grand children and BEER.

Seven day weekends are great. But when talking to someone who still works it can get confusing. I had a phone appointment with Kaiser to go over my meds (annual thing) and I asked why the appointment clerk was calling me on a Sunday - turned out it was Saturday and most of Kaiser does work on Saturday. Just at a bit lower staffing level everywhere except the hospitals which of course are at 100% 7 days a week in most departments.

Does someone make one with 12 months on it??? I can see three lined up on the wall #1. 12 months #2=7 days, #3=regular clock Maybe even add a 4th one in position #1 that shows the year. Or do it as a desktop/screen saver app for computers.
