Wolf is going out of business, with sales of 20 - 40% off. However, they are opening under new management on November 1. It looks like they're going out of business and then opening up again.

according to popphoto.com C+A marketing bought Ritz?wolf and all their other brands of camera stores as well as the ritz.com website. This company owns the rights to Polaroid and have been in the photography business for a while. they may keep most stores open, they close a few or many.

Reminds me of those discount furniture stores.
Right. They increase the price by 50% and give you a 20% markdown. Let's see:
$100 item marked up 50% = $150 less 20% markdown = $120 bargain!
Sounds like a typical going-out-of-business sale.
Seems like Wolf and Ritz are reopening at the same locations? :?
I got an e-mail from them which stated that Ritz and Wolf would reopen under "new management" as dot comms. It also stated that five (5) locations would reopen under "new management".
Borders, Circuit City, Comp-USA, and now Ritz/Wolf,,,, moment of silence for them all.
And what happened to the great Sears Stores now not the one stop shop. I lived in Detroit in the early 60s... JL Hudson's covered a city block, 13 stories tall, three sub basement bargain stores. The decorations during Christmas were like in a movie.... Each floor, Each department competing with each other. Certainly a phenomenon that the young suburbanites will never know.
