I lived in Fresno when I was in the 10th grade. Many years ago there were huge fields of poppies and lupines south of Bakersfield - just after you came down off the Ridge Route. Agricultural expansion took much of that area.

They were planted originally about a year ago on some farmland, just so that people could enjoy the beauty. They are even more beautiful this year with the recent rains we have had here.

How I always looked forward to spring just to see these beautiful California Poppy fields. Used to see them for miles in the country. Mahalo for sharing.
