Yes, a Bill Haley (sp?) and the Comets hit in the mid sixties or so.

The best-known version is by Frankie Vaughan in 1956. I don't think Bill Haley recorded this one, but if he did it wasn't a hit.

Very interesting. NOLA has some fascinating nooks and crannies for wonderful images!!
..Did you use a flash on your camera, or is that some other source reflecting? Also, I don't see where the focus is. Just curious, is this a composite image?!

It was also part of the title of a soft-core porn film from back in the early 1970's, "Behind the Green Door." It was especially infamous because it starred Marilyn Chambers who had been the model holding a baby on the box of Ivory Snow for years. Once she became a porn star, she was replaced on the detergent box.

We are both right, those two and a host of others recorded it or a version thereof according to Wikipedia. I'm remembering Bill Haley's version because I first heard it when returning from Vietnam in 1964 - the same year he recorded it.

The reflection as I recall was from a nearby street lamp. It is not a composite. This is from a scanned print that I came across while going through some old pictures. This was about 1999, again as I can recall.
