I bought Adobe PS 15 several years ago. I've been trying to put it on my Mac, and when I get to put in my serial # it tells me I have it on 3 computers now and must delete it from one to proceed, I have done this but it will not take the serial# So I phoned Adobe and get someone in India , that I can hardly understand and I do not know what they are trying to tell me to do. I have tried 3 times and end up no where, or the line dies.
Any suggestions out there?

You don't just delete the app, you go to your Adobe Account and "un-register" the computer's copy.

PS Elements is not that expensive. You could buy a new version. They are up to ver. 19 or 20 now and the newer versions usually have lots of new stuff incorporated.

That is where some of the customer service contractors have their call centers.

When I needed help installing my old CS5 on a new computer I was connected to India. The woman who helped me had a strong accent but we worked through it with no problem.

Then, because she assigned a new serial number I got blocked on my second computer saying my serial number was invalid. Back to India and a rep that was difficult to understand. I told him I was having trouble, but said if he took his time and repeated himself when necessary that I would work with him. It took us quite a while, but we had a few good laughs. By the time the long phone call was coming to an end, my CS5 was up and running and we were starting to understand each other.

If you set a large cup of coffee on the desk (or your beverage of choice) and keep a good attitude we can all get through it.

Once years ago I called Adobe support and was on the phone and on-line over an hour. The guy was a Texan. If I wasn't from the South I probably couldn't have understood him very well either.

As someone has said, go to the Adobe site that acts as your "dashboard" and close it out from there. I've used Adobe before (something I did wrong and then could not fix) and the young man, also from India, spent an hour with me and we fixed working together. He was a bit hard to understand and I had to ask him to repeat himself a few times but his help was invaluable. He "took over" my computer and went into places I had no idea about! He did tell me that a caller is more likely to get someone stateside during the 8 - 5 hours Monday through Friday. Perhaps you could try that. I certainly would never have been able to understand someone from Texas!!

The Technical Support Chat is way more effective. Go to the Adobe.com site and sign-in with your credentials and find Support and then Contact Us and then the Chat option. When you get connected, just explain you need one of your installed computers released to install your licensed software onto another piece of equipment. They can / will handle. While you wait to be connected to chat in one window, see if you can navigate to your history of purchased software in another window and possibly release that install history yourself.

Use their live chat feature instead of calling. I had a similar experience of long wait times, language barrier, and ultimate disconnection by phone. I then tried chat and they resolved my issue within minutes by taking control of my screen and fixing my issue. Definitely worth a try! ~JDM
