Thanks for hosting. I’m a little abstract challenged myself. Gotta use apps that do it for me. So .......

Whatever works, right? Can't tell what it is so...abstract.

I don't usually pursue abstracts but I do occasionally stumble upon them. Here's a sampling.

Ya gotta call 'em as you see 'em. Good catches.

I appreciate the quote at the bottom of your page. It's the first part that is so important. Two words, "Confess" & "Believe". "Will be saved" is only the result.

This my abstract image through a grater.

I think it should be the opposite way....The one tomato on top and the cherry tomatoes inside the grater...unless I'm misunderstanding.

Good Day everyone! I chose abstracts because it is not something I am very good with. Wikipedia... experimental, conceptual, or concrete photography. A means of depicting a visual image that does not have an immediate association with the object world and that has been created through the use of photographic equipment, processes, or materials. Looking forward to seeing what you have to share. I can't seem to find the photo that I wanted to share. Sorry

I have been doing flower abstractions for many years. They don't quite fit the Wikipedia definition as I am trying for a balance of abstraction and representation. I want them to be abstract, but still recognizable as flowers. I feel I can get more "floweriness" by combining multiple images of flowers on layers in Photoshop.

Beautiful image Rolk! Did you use "liquify" as part of the process?

Thanks so much, Sharon...and you can call me Tim.

And yes, liquify was about the third step; using Photoshop Elements 2019, I first applied pencil edges, then added some shrink-wrap (which I almost always do...lol), then after that I added ink outlines, then the liquify, and finally made some adjustments to contrast, hue and saturation.

I am so glad you liked this one!
