Does anyone have an idea how to paste a Word document into PS? I have a 6-page travel summary that I typed into Word during our travels and I would like to paste it into PS so that I can include it in our photo book that I am creating. I tried the different options available in Word/Save As and nothing will transfer over into PS.

If your concern is the text only, select the words then go to PS and choose the type tool then paste it. It will transfer the text only. If it wont work, then paste it on Notepad first. Then copy that and under type tool transfer to PS as text.

Images can be copied and pasted directly to PS. If this do not work, check the image type and your PS settings. Some image types change color or mess-up when transferred from Word to PS.

If you want to transfer the document as a whole, you can either screen capture it and paste in PS as an image or save it first as PDF and then it can also be opened as a whole image into PS.

Try opening a text box then copy and paste the doc into the box. I have never done this so it is just a thoight.

Use the "Type Tool". Open word, Highlight the type and copy. (Ctrl + C). Only one page at a time.
In PS Create the same size page, place the type tool where you want to start the text and paste (Ctrl + V). You can then resize the text to fit.
Images can also be copied one at a time. Resized & moved.

Hope this help and your doing OK.
Steve

Looks like Wallen beat me to it.

Simpler and Adobe recommended method:
Export to a PDF document then import the PDF into PS CC.

Thanks Rongnongno and Gene51. That idea of saving the Word doc as a pdf and then opening in PS worked like a charm. I have about 8 pages and when I open the file in PS, I am able to choose exactly which page I want to open and paste into my black background. I'm making a photo book with Shutterfly and I can now paste the intro, dedication, etc pages into the book as an image. I am not used to pasting anything into PS, other than photos and this is a lot of help from you guys. Each of the 120 photo pages is a composite collage that I created in PS from about 500 images, rather than doing it in Shutterfly---I have better control over the sizing and layout of each image on each page. I appreciate your responding.

Saving it as a pdf format worked better than the other ideas. Once it's saved as a pdf, I can then open it in PS. Thanks for the input. I appreciate your help.

That will work, but a couple of you guys suggested saving the entire doc as a pdf file. Then I can open the whole document in PS and enter each page as a separate layer. Thanks.

That was the last line in my suggested solution (ha ha ha), and turn out to be the best option.
...but it seems you didn't read that far into it.
Never the less, glad you found your solution.

You’re right. I didn’t absorb all your suggestions. You had too many other ones ahead and I had already tried them and they didn’t work. And I totally glossed over the very last phrase. One time that you should not have “saved the best for last”. Ha. Thanks to you for giving me a workable solution. Sorry for the oversight
