Caught these two fighting over fishing rights at an area lake. I really needed more that my 70-200 mm would provide. They were really high up, pretty heavy crop.

Nice pictures and you are right a better lens it will help you. It all depends which camera, you are using. Canon 100-400 plus extender 1.4 will help you. I think Nikon have one 200-500 which also a good lens. Sony pretty expensive telephoto lens. I also took this picture of these two birds fighting.

The really good longer Canon lenses just cost so much. I need to figure out what a 2x extender would do to my 70-200 on my Canon R which is mirrorless.

I really love the R, I’m not a trained photographer so it really helps that you can see how changing setting affects the image on the screen. I’m really interested in the R5 but it’s going to be 5k or more I bet. I can’t touch it.

One more thing, this Corona virus is going to change how the market for many items go for sale. You should be able to find a super deal since very few people will have money to spend.

I’m watching to see what the price is, I’m off work due to the virus to so I’m not in a position to buy now either. Sad mess we’re in.

I know it sounds easy, but we will get out of this mess strong. We just have to wear the mask and keep the 6 feet away from everyone else.

Whether you're purchasing your first EOS camera or your fifth, the EOS R camera is designed to integrate smoothly into existing EOS systems. Engineered to work seamlessly with RF lenses, it maintains complete compatibility with EF and EF-S lenses by using one of three optional Mount Adapters. When using EF-S lenses, the EOS R even crops automatically to reflect the APS-C sized sensor the lenses are designed for.

This information will help you get the correct adapter, so you can get an EF lens. Also PMB sells used gear and you can trade in the lenses that you don't need to reduce the price. I think it might be better the keh.

I think there is a fly on my screen, at least that is what my cat thinks, any way, the subject is just to far to get a good shot, a 120-400 would help in shooting birds, but even in this case the subject is still to far. Times are you can never have a lens with enough reach.
