Woking on tones, lighting & textures.
1st time I tried to post the image didn't show up. Trying again.
Trying to do something very simple & a little artistic using 2 wine bottles, a wine glass & a small candle. Lighting was supplied by a permanent wall mounted solar light & a hand held flashlight.
I like how the wall texture stands out. ๐๐
This image would be better if placed in the gallery or critique sections.

That's better! If a picture tells a story, I'm noot sure what the story here is. An empty wine bottle and a clean glass suggests there is a drunk lying on the floor just out of frame.
I like the composition, the subdued tones and dark colors, and the texture. I like the light and shadows. Itโs moody and dramatic. Definitely artistic! I think you succeeded with the texture. One thing I notice is a bit of a distraction for me is the candle. The candle is very bright white which is in contrast to the subdued dark colors and shadows and it has no texture. It is flat white. I donโt think it it aids the theme. I wonder if it was lit ๐ฅ with a warm yellow flame it it would blend in better?
Good work thank you for posting that
Nice work. Where did you place the flashlight?
No, the drunk was behind the camera.
I held the flashlight so I could move it around at different angles. Didn,t need to hold the camera because I used my tripod.
Nice. I agree with a lot of what JD750 wrote. Additionally, I'm not sure I like the corner of the table being cut off like that.
