With fewer people driving and many factories closed worldwide for a month now, has anyone noticed how much cleaner the air is and the increased definition in photos?
Yes! I have friends in Brescia, IT and they tell me that their air, some of the most polluted in Italy has amazingly clear considerably since their stay in place order was issue. They tell me that the water around Venice are so clear that you can see fish again and the cormorants are there in droves again, fishing. I live in central Wisconsin and it is not as noticeable, our air has always been rather clear.

Yes, and not too long ago some news program was showing satellite pictures of the smog over China before the lock down, and then during the lock down the pictures showed that 90% of the smog was gone, and then the last set of images were taken after things started to get back to normal in China and almost all of the smog was already back.
Next step for all those tinkers, shade tree mechanics, engineers etc who jumped in and designed, built and maintained ventilators and other needed gear to switch their full on "Get her done!" charge over to exhaust filters, smoke stack air scrubbers etc. I will bet they can come up with better and much cheaper solutions than the present ones.

NO, air quality here in Florida unchanged. But, whales have been observed swimming closer to shore because of the lack of shipping and boating.
Air quality is always very good here on the west side of Rochester, NY. Seems the sky and general atmosphere is even better, cleaner, fresher than ever, now.

Out here in Colorado the answer is yes. Although this is great for any outdoor shooting now (if one could travel in the mountains), this "short term happening" will be a mere blimp in the global warming situation. It would be nice if it could be continued, but then there would be absolutely no economy. Such is modern day life; always a tradeoff.

In your area, it might not be noticeable. I live in a western suburb of Boston, and I am below several major airways. Pre-virus it was rare not to be hearing a plane overhead. Now I hear only one per hour.
This FlightAware display tells the story. Pre-virus, this map would have been
filled with aircraft.
