I have a new laptop now but i have lost access to my ADOBE photoshop CS2 among programs I have only used this program for over 15 years or more, Does any one have a copy of it or another suggestion, I do little adjustment with this program, and I do not want to start over again learning a new program at my age. Any Help thanks.

If you haven't retained a safe copy of your original software install file(s) and license key, it's probably going to be time to shop for new digital editing software.

As you rebuild your new equipment to working order, assure you create back-up copies of your software install files, user-names, sign-on credentials, license keys, etc, in preparation for the next planned or unplanned equipment transition.

If you have the original CD and the license key you can reinstall it but I can't install CS2 on a computer running Windows 7 or newer. I still use CS2 but I have to run it with Windows XP.

Time to upgrade your software and computer. Did you really expect to get help from Adobe or even here for 30 yr old software that will probably not work on current operating systems? Pay for the subscriptions and download the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom - and your problems will be over. The user interface is still similar enough to CS2 that it won't feel that foreign to you. Good luck!

I'm not entirely sure how this works, but CS2 was created when "32 bit" operating systems were in use. (Maybe 16 bit?) A new laptop is bound to have a "64 bit" operating system. It is also going to have a different graphics hardware system.

I agree with "pay for the subscription". If you hate subscriptions try Photoshop Elements. The interface will be at least somewhat familiar and may very well be as capable as software as old as CS2.

I don't know about the Mac version but for Windows version CS2 is 32 bit and would run under Windows XP. I can't run it on anything newer. I did run it in Windows 7 XP mode but now I run Windows 10 I can't do that any more so I have a hard drive with Windows XP. Whenever I want to run CS2 I swap the hard drive.

As far as i now, this can still be had for free through Adobe, as it has for years and years!

CS2 runs just fine on my 64-bit system!

Be careful if you open this website. I tried it for CS3 and it didn't work, but did for CS2. However, I was inundated with a bunch of ads for junk software and "efficiency" crap, that I immediately exited and ran my adware removal program.

I was hoping that there was CS3 available for that fellow who needed help yesterday.

stop telling people to "pay the subscription". I use an "old copy" of CS and will never pay a subscription... For any software. I do not feel that I should lose the ability to use something should I become unemployed and not be able to afford a "subscription". Who was it that decided the general pblic should not be in control of their software choices? Windows and OSX that put updates in whether you want or not? Office and Adobe making you contact the mother ship to use their products? I used Linux alongside Window$ for years. When the time came to retire my win 7 I went exclusively with linux... Simply because once I install it or any software on it, it is mine to do with as I want.

I think PS 5.5 was the last version that you could "gift" or loan to someone else without Adobe knowing about it.
