Haleiwa.....Rainbow Bridge

Haleiwa is a historic surf town on the North Shore of Oahu. It's roughly an hour from Waikiki. Haleiwa is a far cry from the excitement of Waikiki, and that's exactly how the folks of the North Shore like it! I realize some of you have been here so wanted you to enjoy a revisit! And for those who haven't....should you ever go to Oahu....be sure to visit Haleiwa and enjoy some shaved ice! (March 9th, 2020 visit) Bob

Thanks NMGal…..for commenting. This is the gateway to some of the best beaches & surfing spots on the island….like Sunset beach. Always an enjoyable ride to go around the island. Bob

I usually go there twice a year as my daughter lives in Haleiwa. You have captured it well! I miss it so much but am so glad I didn't have my next trip planned when it all hit the fan. Now I wonder when I will get back there and miss her and the North Shore so much. And the coconut shrimp at Seven Brothers at the Mill.

Thanks Katydid for sharing your ties to Haleiwa. I'm sure you will have the opportunity to return to visit your daughter in the near future. The trade winds will keep all that healthy air flowing through everyone's nose & lungs for a great win! I knew someone who had been there might make a comment as it's so unique. Appreciate the line...…"You have captured it well!" Best of luck with any future plans.....and bet there will be some good bargain rates! Aloha, Bob
