Sandhill crane babies

My first post....

I took these photos in late March in Tarpon Springs, Florida. I don't think the babies could have been more than a couple of days old. The little one in the last two photos must have dropped the earthworm eight times before the parent finally had success! It was fun to watch.

Outstanding set. I wish I could get some Sandhill Cranes with little ones. I've gone to New Mexico in winter to see them but never been to where they do their courtships and nesting.
