The governor of New York declared gun stores non-essential, thus ending gun sales during the carona v***s. Is this constitutional? In this unusual situation, prisoners let out of jail, is it even a good idea? Answers??

There is what is called, "Slam Shotgun" which essentially is a piece of 3/4-inch pipe and a few pipe fittings. Some are made with a bit more creativity. Here's how to make one that has over 3-million views (do you think that perhaps any of them now have one?). They are all one shot however I'd rather have one shot than have nothing...and after the shot you can use the pipe to beat the bad guy to a bloody pulp.

Hmm. the Second Amendment does not say anything about the right to SELL arms. That's an issue of semantics for sure, since in general, unless you are a machinist, you have to BUY a weapon in order to "keep and bear arms". By the time this reaches the Supreme Court - well - by the time it would even begin to get hearings in courts anywhere - the p******c will be over and stores will be open again. So - kudos to those of us who were paranoid enough to plan ahead for the apocalypse, and for everyone else - maybe you have a relative who can loan you a weapon, give you some ammo, and teach you how to use it without k*****g a member of your own family.
What would you need a gun for? To shoot the v***s? Fear are work.

Bill45, That's a very good question. I think that every person caught committing a crime with a firearm should be asked that very question however I believe that I know the answer....They are bad guys!
Owning a firearm is no different than having a spare tire in the trunk of your car. I may never use it however if I ever need it, I'll be happy that it's there.

"However if I ever need it," What is this if I ever need it? Are you will to k**l another person, it not a "bad guy" but a living person you are shooting at. Think before giving me an answer

Bill45, owning a firearm and using the firearm to take a life are light-years different. I recognize that these are desperate times that are sure to become more desperate. It's not the career criminal that will be the greatest threat for they tend to look at it as a business. It is the drug addicted that will be on a mission to get wh**ever they can regardless of how they have to get it. They can not see past their next "fix" and I'm not referring to one who does a smash-and-grab or is just a thief stealing what they can to pawn.
I'm referring to the home invader or the strong-arm robber. I'm an old fellow and I have no ability to physically fight for my life so for me....I will even the odds with a force on-par to the threat.
K*****g is okay as long as the right people are k**led.

It probably is, but I am guessing it will never be tested in court, as the courts have all but ceased to function.
Although the guns in America are at an all-time high, they are concentrated in fewer and fewer households. So, my guess that anyone worried about this already has firearms aplenty. What will an additional gun do you you that the guns you already have won't?
If one were to challenge a State order, I think one would have to make the argument that gun sales are essential during this temporary lockdown. A hard argument to make since freedom of assembly is also being restricted. You want to throw that out too?
If you want to make the crime argument, then you would have to deal with the fact that crime rates are down, at least in California (the other states are probably experiencing the same effect). Anecdotally, Highland Hospital in Oakland, a hospital that specializes in trauma (GSW, car accidents and the like) has an eerily quiet ER.

Aren’t drug addicts more likely to trade the gun for drugs than to do a home invasions. Last I heard most home invasions are done by persons with some connection to the home.

Are you willing to do nothing while you and your family are murdered?

Been watching all the anti-gunners buying and stocking up my apocalypse supplies for me.

Bill45, that was a quote from a Clint Eastwood movie where he played Harry Callahan. I thought that you might recognize it without me attributing it to the movie. Although I may be God for remember....he made us in his image, although I though he would have looked a lot more handsome than I do.
