Canon M 5 Problem

When using my M5 with native M series lenses everything works normally however when I use the adapter for my EF lenses the camera is continually searching for focus even when it is not set on servo. Is this something I just have to put up with or is there a cure.

I turn off continuous focusing, when using the EF or EF-S lens

Thanks, I thought just using single shot instead of servo was enough.

Turn off the continuous focus. Works on my M50.

The continuous focus works all the time camera is switched on and uses up batteries quite quickly, I use a Canon m to e.g. adaptor with my EF and EFs lenses and use high speed servo with the tv setting and the auto focus is fine.

That includes 100 to 400 zoom and 10 to 18 zoom other zoom lenses and prime lenses. All work fine

Glad that worked. I knew about how to stop this from a posting here on UHH about a month or so ago. I would not have known, if a friend of mine had not purchased the M50 after seeing mine. She asked me about the problem and I went to UHH and found the answer!! Thanks hoggers!!!
