My name is Jas I am a postal worker and a aspiring barber but lately I’ve been wanting to take photos of just about anything then I came across this link. I’m hoping to to take everything taught in this course and use it in the long run. Thanks
Good for you! There are quite a few brilliant photographers on this site, many of whom are very generous with there advice. Best of luck to you.
Welcome Jas! Photography is indeed fun. It is true you can get lots of great advice. You will likely notice occasional lapses of manners by some, don't take it personally. Enjoy the ride! Stay safe during these crazy days.
You in the right place Jas. Read watch, shoot, repeat!

You will also find; arrogance, tremendous egos, and pompous responses. They are like the "pretty" girls you see in the movies. Get past them and there are some who will help without being condescending.

Welcome. There are lots of people who can help you with any questions you might have. When you have questions it is helpful to post a photo showing what your problem is. To post a photo that is a file on your computer, look at the bottom of the posting text box. There is a button marked "Choose File". Click on that button and navigate to the file that is the photo on your computer (the "choose file" button only appears when you are creating a new post or replying to someone else's post). It is even more helpful if, when you post a photo, you check the box marked "store original". If you have computer problems be sure to mention what kind of computer and how old and other specifications. It is also helpful, when replying to a post, to use "Reply with quote", instead of just "Reply", since the quote will tell everyone whom you are replying to and give the quote for context.
Remember that there are no stupid questions, but there are lots of stupid answers.
Welcome. Most people here will be glad to help.
