Postscript to the Irish photos I posted.
I took the top photo in 1976... Had a picture of it hanging on my wall for years.
Perfect Irish farmhouse and setting
We went back in 2017... Drove by and took photo #2.
The more thing change the more they stay the same.
Ireland is very different overall but there are pockets for sure that have changed very little!
Notable also.. It rained practically every day in my first trip.. everything very green.
In 2017 it was very dry to the point of drought... green but less vibrant and deep green.
Good job recreating the shot.
Excellent!! Amazing how little has changed except the cottage is abandoned. I am surprised it hasn't been turned into a holiday home or developed into a McMansion.
Do you remember where it was taken? I'm thinking maybe the Dingle Penninsula?
I'm not sure it is abandoned.
It is in the town of Sneem on the edge of the Ring of Kerry.
