Linda, the framing and perspective are amazing.

My own personal tastes, I would either have no vignette, or maybe just enough to accent the edges.

Thank you johngault007. I tried the vignette for the first time because I read somewhere it would help drive a person's eye towards the image. When I have a moment, I will take it and modify and see how it looks. It's all new to me. It's good to have people such as yourself giving me different ideas to explore.

Linda,
In my very humble opinion, that scene doesn't need any help in that regards, it's pretty spectacular.

Linda, beautifully done. Thanks for sharing it. I, too, would also like to see the download version.

Nice shot, makes me want to go there. That said, if possible, I would try to pull some contrast between the mountain peaks and the sky especially on the middle left side. As other have said, I would have less or remove the vignette. I would like to see more of the foreground, lightened some to give balance to the mountains and maybe even less sky putting the top of the mountains at 1/3 from the top of the picture.

Thank you manofhg for all your suggestions. I have been putting off learning layers but I'm at the point where it really is important that I learn how to do that. I have online classes and I have books it's just a matter of finding the time which is in a little short supply right now. But your comments validate the fact that I need to do this.

Beautiful image Linda!

Thank you yssirk123. The only downside for me is that I chose it too soon I looked at all my remaining 2000 plus photos and there might be just one more that might come close to it. All the rest I look at and they look more like snapshots in comparison. :(

After you hit "choose file" and attach your photo, click the box that says "store original" before you add the attachment. That lets us click on it and enlarge it to see it better. Great shot!!

Thank you for your comments. Quick question...can I just upload the image in the message I used starting this thread or do I add a new message within this thread and upload it then? Thank you again.

To my eye it looks like the shot as a whole, and the sky in particular, has a magenta tint to it, which I would say doesn't add to the coldness and wildness of Iceland. That effect may be reduced if you reduce the vignette, but it's highlighting the problem and a less magenta colour cast would IMO be more suitable.

Thank you R.G. I appreciate reading your suggestion. I'm going to take all the suggestions and make the different images. Then I will have a better sense of what I actually like. It's a rich educational experience reading everyone's comments.

Very nice shot, but I find the dark vignetting disturbing.

Thank you kymarto. It appears that others feel the same as you. That will be the first adjustment I try. This will be a really a fun experience.

Hello! This is my favorite shot from Iceland. Canon 5DM4 f/2.8, 13 seconds, ISO 1600 focal length 14mm, Max aperture 3. Shot with a Rokinon 14mm 2.8 lens. Thank you in advance. Linda

Hello, Linda,
The is an admirable image with the impactful looming sky and water reflections contributing to a sense of depth.
It is technically totally adequate.
The composition appears to be essentially a ā€œgivenā€ , given the offering of the Cosmos at the moment, and you took good advantage of that. The scene is dark. and the dark vignette is, to my eye, simply too heavy /!excessive.
In summary, an interesting image likely to stop the gallery stroller and encourage further examination and study,

Dave
