Twirl with a difference

I did this twirl leaving the original picture as the background. ,made two copies and turned off the top layer. I did the twirl in the second layer and then on the top layer. I then turned off the top layer and played with the blending modes on the second layer, turned on the top layer and played with the blending modes to get a result I liked...

Thanks Bob, Will be playing some more to see what effects I can get with different types of pictures..

Great job Jim, did you put a twirl on another picture and then play with the blend mods on the twirl (which I am going to try) or is the twirl from the picture..
