I have succumbed to a GAS attack that has been building for over a month. As I sit here with nothing to do I imagine my bank account is fairly bursting at the seams with excess cash I cannot go out and spend on the senseless things I usually buy. I own a Sigma 180mm, f/2.8 macro lens and I love it - but it's heavy. Real heavy. Over the last month or so the major on-line retailers have been advertising the Sigma 105mm, f/2.8 macro lens for $500 off the regular price. I finally gave in to the GAS and ordered it this morning. Anybody else ordering equipment they could probably live without?

Yes, but holding out for the R5.
What a mind blowing camera.
And uses all my EF lenses no matter how old with full functionality.
Then the bonus is all my FD, FL and R lenses will work on it with no extra glass in the adapter.
I have GAS attacks day and night, but not the spending kind.
Yes. Within the last month, I purchased a new Nikon D7500 (I already have two D500's and a D750). I also purchased a new Tamron 10-24mm ultrawide angle zoom. I didn't have an ultrawide zoom before, so it was necessary to purchase it. I've already gotten shots that were not possible before.
You are what your equipment says you are ...
I do believe I have enough camera gear. My last purchase, supposedly arriving today was a replacement Nikon eye cup and another wrist strap. I have been keeping an eye on new products, but no (for me) game changers. Pretty much done.

Not really. I'm still working, and probably more hours than ever, but with a lot less time on the country roads I usually commute on. I've been saving money on gas and entertainment, so I just dropped the dime on an Epson film scanner. I hope to be developing and scanning some film in the very near future.

Right on! If that's true I'm going to be so much better than before.

My equipment says I'm very, very old.
It's a lie!
