This photo was taken 2 years ago and I wanted to get opinions and thoughts on which one do you prefer and why? Personally I like the original with the sharpness and catching the little girl floating in the air while running. Then I got the idea to give motion to the image and I liked that version. Now I'm torn. With great respect for your opinions and thoughts, I present both versions to you.
Thanks in advance for your opinions and thoughts.
Both of these images look best in download mode.

That's a hard call, Brent. I'm usually a fan of the frozen action, but that second shot is very appealing, and it preserves the mid-air movement. Both are very appealing indeed.

I also love them both. Capturing the model in the air was brilliant. #2 gets my vote, with her feet off the ground, the blur makes it look like she is taking off, going airborne. Thanks for sharing them.

My preference is for the first. I like the way the balloons lead to the girl and the girl’s shadow leads down. Lots of good lines and shadows make it work for me.

I think #1 to be the better rendition. It captures the magic moment. Blurring the background may emphasize the main object of the shot I think the girl and balloons to remain in sharp focus.

#2 loses it because it is less defined. If the full image of the girl and balloons are kept in focus with the blurring and "flash' edges around her. Also keep the shadow on the ground sharp as well.

I think another version of #2 that should be considered. Keep the surroundings in sharp focus with the girl blurred across the scene.

I like the original. If you want the motion blur, I agree with another commenter that the background would look best in focus.

Like both, but #2 is different and harder to capture.

I personally like the first one. But I see reasons for keeping (and using) both.

I like the first one better. I like the sharpness of the balloons in the fist one, I think the second one makes them look more like paper streamers. But that is just me. Even with waterfalls, I like stop motion better.

Both shots are nice. The first shot I focus on the girl first. The second shot I focus on the action first.

Andy, In a.way I am very happy that you and I are both torn. It makes me realize that both have possibilities. Thanks for your input.

George, with your vote for the first one that pretty much ties it up so far. In a way I’m glad it’s a tough decision and the votes are somewhat split.
