I saw this little one sitting on a cherry tree branch outside my office window, a Pygmy Owl. It was early morning and as the light got better, I realized it was not a huge robin but a small owl. I snapped a few shots through the window, then decided to get a closer shot outside. I had the Canon 400mm lens on and was within 10 feet of the bird. I expected it to fly off as soon as I approached, not the case. it sat in the tree for another hour just looking about.

Great capture. Owls can be that way sometimes.

I've never seen one until now. It is gorgeous and quite small for an Owl. Like it .
