shot some dragons the other day, most shots were bad because the wind was blowing hard, also saw lots of dragons in longjaw orb weaver webs
Although not as detailed as the later close-up, the first one can be cropped even close to harvest the screen-filling details, as could that mating pair. Great work!
Those are nice! Male calico pennant, mating club tails (resembles a couple species. I won't venture a guess). Third could be variegated meadow hawk? Not sure.
The first one is beautifully coloured, all nice shots despite any wind.
A fantastic set of dragons! Mark identified the first. The second is a mating pair in a wheel. They are Plains Clubtails (Gomphus externus). The third is a very teneral (probably not more than a few hours from emerging) Epitheca (baskettail). Hard to tell the species withous seeing the whole abdomen and terminal appendages. In your area and because of the maculations on the wings it could be common, spiny or dot-winged baskettail. Well done set.
Oh my, what a wonderful series.
