Visited the river last week. The ice was going out and giving up its dead (fish that is). Many happened to be frozen in the ice and with the melting provide a smorgasbord for the local bird population. In fact, there were so many birds vying for food that they paid little attention to me. It was great fun shooting.
In addition, the local eagle population was feasting on the catch. I saw 10 to 12 eagles in the mix either on the ice or in the air. If you like shooting raptures this was paradise.
