Self isolating? Afraid to go out to shoot? Here is a couple of suggestions to experiment with at home.
#1 Flower frozen in shallow glass casserole dish and backlit
#2 Flower reflected in mylar wrapping paper.
#3 Propped up horizontal sheet of glass (storm window). Clean with Rain-X and spray with water. Wide aperture, focus on droplet, play around with different items and lighting below the glass.
#4 Semi translucent item on iridescent mylar. Play with reflecting light off another piece of irridescent mylar.
#5 Straightforward - macro or close focus lens.
#6 Play around with $2 LED flashlight. Practice setting up color balance in camera instead of PP.
#7 Here is one to keep you occupied. My wife balance these eggs on end at first attempt at the exact vernal equinox (first day of Spring). Wikipedia says that theoretically it can be done anytime of the year. Try it and post here if you succeed.
Have fun, but stay safe. Previous generations have fought wars from trenches, beaches, jungles and desserts. We are only being asked to fight this war from our couches.
Love them all! Especially 1,2,3

Yep I should start doing some of that! I was bored yesterday, not really anything to do and pretty shitty weather outside and I'm tired of shoveling snow, so i thought I'll go on down to the bar for a few cold ones. I was surprised to find the place rather packed, they had a jam session going on. Two guys on the guitar and a beautiful woman on the fiddle. Not only was she a lot of fun to look at, but she was really good on the fiddle as well. So boredom just, poof way it went, I got my excitement for the day ( had quite a few sierra's too) and went back home, feeling good. That sure made for a nice change!

WOW!!!!! What great ideas for indoor fun with the camera. Excellent photography. Your photos really inspire me and help with the ideas of being cooped up! Thanks for posting these!

Thanks for looking.
I guess they haven't heard of social distancing in Idaho yet. They will - but probably not until it is too late! Defend your country - stay home.

The egg trick can be done with salt. Put salt on the table. Place the egg end up on the salt and blow the rest of the salt away. No one can see the salt that is holding that soon to be a chick upright. A trick I learned many years ago. Now go and make some money off your friends.
