You can use FE lenses on crop sensor e-mount cameras.

That is true maybe 50% of the time, Depending on your menu settings. My FF Sony cameras are set (in the menu) to auto upscale DT and E lenses to Super 35 and they look exactly the same in the viewfinder as FF lenses without any vignette. The beauty of Sony Cameras is that lenses are interchangeable on Emount cameras. I can use my FF (FE) lenses on either the a7 and a9 series on any new, a5000 or a6000 series camera. Then I can also use any APS-C ( E ) series lens from the a5000 and a6000 on a FF a7xxx or a9xx camera.
