I'd be interested in your technique. Was additional lighting used? Overall, it is a great image, regardless of the unimportant artifacts referred to above.

It is a very beautiful photo of a lovely woman. B& W was a good choice. I love how you can see wistfully thinking about something.

I'm all about this shot: lovely. But agree about the blanket; to me it spoils the surrealistic mood. Beautiful model. Is she really a vampire? :-)

However the plaid blanket is a bit bothersome (to me), I would prefer something without a pattern.
A slight crop on the right side to eliminate the waist band of her jeans.
For first post in this section, very well done and hope to see more of your work. But have to agree on pattern blanket. In fact changing it to just black in PP would make the photo look more surreal and grabbing.

Thank you. I think a slight crop would be good. Might have to think about darkening the blanket or something.

I agree.
The glow around the moon and the face adds... just having a bright crip moon surrounded by black would not be as effective... the glow ties photo elements together.

I do like the glow around the moon. As luck would have it the skies were a tad foggy that evening when I shot the moon.

Beautiful, creative image. If the plaid was replaced with a solid color, it could be a cover for a novel. Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you. Wow, cover for a novel. Had never thought of that. I’ll have to relook at what I could do with the blanket.

Great image. I was about to post some of the same sort (with a moon) but now I am reluctant. Yours is too nice.

Closed eyes would have been better.

Possibly. Obviously too late now, lol. Curious as to your thoughts on why you would prefer closed eyes?

If she did, I’d have to be careful about turning my back.

I actually shot this in a barn at twilight. I used a flash about 8-9 feet behind and above her. That gave her a cool lighting effect. The moon part of the picture was taken on a different evening and I combined in photoshop. The glow around the moon perfectly created the erie mood I wanted. I played with the light and shadow areas to balance how the moon lit her body.

Thank you. I’m thinking about what I can do with the blanket.

What is your goal for the story? I think her eyes add a lot to the surreal feeling. Closed is a different story.
