I once saw Buddy's show in Vegas. Laughed my a$$ off. He always did a good job of keeping his routines "clean" when appearing on Johnny's show.

Back in the 1970's when I was musician in NYC I drove a cab to earn extra income. I once had Buddy Hackett as a passenger. He was a nice enough guy for the 15 minutes or so he was in my cab, but was by far the most foul mouthed individual I have every met in my life.

I was staying in a suite at Las Vegas hotel. On my back to the suite which was like an apartment in back of the hotel. This guy stops me to talk it took a minute then I realize it was Buddy Hackett. I don't remember the year. We talked for a few minutes.

I'm thinking it might have 1993 or 1994. A friend set me for same suites the entertainers used in back of the hotel. There was building with 4 of these suites. He did talk and told a joke or 2. He was very nice and down to earth. He did not tell me who he was but that voice said it all.
