I think you did great with your repost. The first photo is really good. But your second photo you added is a very hard to beat shot. Two youngsters with one looking slightly back at mom, mom with an eye on her youngsters, just a hint of the iridescent red throat feathers for identification, and just enough of the environment around them that it places them without too much distraction from them. I am not sure one can ask for much more from a shot.

Those are wonderful.. The birds are great, but seeing the nest details is also fantastic. You can see the spiderweb silk she used in its construction.

Those are really great! Amazing how the nest incorporates the lichen that is all around it - very hard to see by predators!
