Flowers from my neighbors yard and Mr Max (the cat)

I've been watching lots of photography videos and just had to get out and take some photos. My neighbor has some beautiful flowers in her yard so I ventured in for some fun.

Mr Max is not the most cooperative of models but I did manage to get 1 half way decent shot of him. His companion, Midnight, was so covered in pollen that I just didn't want anyone to see a yellow cat.

These photos were taken with my Nikon D750 using a Tamron 24-70. Most are heavily cropped since her yard is so dense with bushes it was hard to get close to some. I have also added a vignette.

Very pretty flowers. I think I like the first shot best because of the contrast with the background. And Mr. Max is a looker!

Thank you!! It was nice to be outside and moving around. Max does not the big black thing I put in front of my face even though I have let him smell the camera and rub on it (my cats didn't appreciate it). So it's grab shots with him.

Best wishes during this nasty time.

Thanks, SWFeral!!! It was nice to be outside (except for the pollen). I am going back tomorrow with a couple of different lenses to see if I can photograph some of the flowers that aren't reachable. She is trying to make paths so that she can access all the bushes but its like working with a jungle.

She will appreciate the compliment on Max. I am proud to say she posted it to her Facebook page.

Best wishes during this nasty time in our lives.

Beautiful set and Cats are my favorite pets as well. The flowers are so pretty in the Spring and I hope I get to enjoy them soon.

Lovely images. I especially liked the composition and colors of #1.
UTMike's comment about the cat appearing disgruntled (nice portrait BTW) made me go back and look again. Then a line from long ago came to mind (from P,G. Wodehouse's "Code of the Woosters) "I could see that if not disgruntled, he was certainly far from being gruntled".Your shot captured that.
